[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5345, June 15, 1968 ]
AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY (re Santo Tomas School of Fisheries, La Union).
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. Sections one and two of Republic Act Numbered Three thousand eight hundred sixty are hereby amended to read as follows:
" SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the supervision and administration of the Director of Vocational Education, a school of fisheries in any suitable place within the Municipality of Santo Tomas, Province of La Union, to be known as the Santo Tomas School of Fisheries. The Director of Vocational Education shall promulgate, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Education, such rules and regulations to carry out the purpose of this Act. Said Director shall also acquire the necessary site for the school which shall not be less than eight hectares."SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
" SEC. 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation, maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-nine. In subsequent years, the General Appropriations Act shall provide for its operation and maintenance."
