VIOLATION OF THE OPIUM LAW. From the Court of First Instance of Manila. Smith, J.
Defendant was convicted of a violation of section 31 of The Opium Law, sentenced to seven months' imprisonment and to pay a fine P200, and, in case of insolvency, to subsidiary imprisonment at the rate of P2.50 per day. The only question raised on appeal relates to the sufficiency of the evidence. Proofs held to sustain conviction and judgment affirmed.
