DECISION

G.R. No. L-18177

REHABILITATION FINANCE CORPORATION, PLAINTIFF-APPELLEE VS. ISABEL ACUÑA, ET AL., DEFENDANT-APPELLANTS.

D E C I S I O N

SUMMARY

Plaintiff filed a complaint against defendant for a certain sum covering the unpaid balance   of their loan after deducting the value of properties previously sold in a extra-judicial foreclosure proceeding. For failure of defendant to proceed to submit evidence in support of their alleged payments claimed to have been made, the court rendered judgment in favor of plaintiff.  On appeal, the Court affirmed the judgment of the lower  court.

RULING

The true account of defendants was that shown in Annex "A" which is the amount indicated in the judgment.  The difference between the amounts contained in two exhibits was satisfactorily explained by the accountant of plaintiff in charge of keeping the account of defendant.
