Appellants were sentenced to pay jointly and severally the sum of P2,243.55 with interest thereon from the date of the complaint and costs, plus an additional sum equivalent to 25% of such amount by way of damages, in accordance with the terms of the surety
bonds.
Appealed judgment is revoked. Defendant Visayan Surety & Insurance Co. will pay the NARIC, five hundred (P500) pesos on the second bond, without interest, but it will be absolved from the responsibility under the first bond. No pronouncement as to costs.
