| As to the award of actual damages, in accordance with our ruling in People v. Mahilum,[18] we award in lieu thereof temperate damages under Art. 2224 of the Civil Code in the amount of P15,000, since pecuniary loss is present but its amount cannot be proven with certainty. No modification is made on the award of civil indemnity and moral damages as these are all in conformity with prevailing jurisprudence. | |||||
