| It must be emphasized that in no instance did Ambre challenge, at the R TC, the supposed absence of confirmatory drug test conducted on her. Ambre only questioned the alleged omission when she appealed he·r conviction before the CA. It was too late in the day for her to do so. Wellentrenched is the rule that litigants cannot raise an issue for the first time on appeal as this would contravene the basic rules of fair play and justice.[26] | |||||
