| Petitioners claim that their predecessor-in-interest, Emilia, became the owner of the lot in question by virtue of acquisitive prescription. Acquisitive prescription requires public, peaceful, uninterrupted and adverse possession of the land in the concept of an owner.[32] To prove this, petitioners offered in evidence two tax declarations in the name of Emilia declaring her ownership of a 1.552 ha. riceland in Biñang 1st Bocaue, Bulacan for tax purposes. | |||||
