FLORENCE TEVES MACARRUBO v. ATTY. EDMUNDO L. MACARRUBO

This case has been cited 2 times or more.

CHICO-NAZARIO, J.
In Macarrubo v. Macarrubo,[22] respondent entered into multiple marriages and then resorted to legal remedies to sever them. There, we ruled that "[s]uch pattern of misconduct by respondent undermines the institutions of marriage and family, institutions that this society looks to for the rearing of our children, for the development of values essential to the survival and well-being of our communities, and for the strengthening of our nation as a whole." As such, "there can be no other fate that awaits respondent than to be disbarred."
