| In the recent ABC (Alliance for Barangay Concerns) Party-List v. COMELEC,[34] the Court reiterated that Section 6 of R.A. No. 7941 validates the authority of the COMELEC, not only to register political parties, organizations or coalitions, but also to cancel their registration based on the same legal grounds.
